Exhibiting at Power Gen 2018 Turned into Quite the Ride for Aaron Equipment
Aaron Equipment Company exhibited at Power Gen International 2018 in Orlando, Florida, on December 4–6, 2018. The show was a huge success for the company and featured a booth highlighting Aaron’s impact on the power industry as well as some historical nostalgia of the company itself.
Power Gen International had more than 1,400 exhibitors showcasing different types of power generation tools and accessories to over 20,000 attendees. A wide array of efficient and cost-saving power-generation and transmission machines were displayed, including steam systems, automated equipment, power boilers, and energy distribution systems. Eco-friendly power tools were also showcased, along with other high-utility power-conservation machinery.
Aaron Equipment’s booth emphasized that the company both buys and sells surplus standby generator sets, including diesel fuel and natural gas generators, gas turbine generators, steam turbine generators, wind power equipment, and entire power plants. The staff working the booth estimated that they would bring home more than 300 substantial leads.
A special feature at the Aaron booth was the actual “Aaron Bike,” which appeared in a televised episode of Orange County Choppers more than a decade ago. The bike drew significant attention from fans of the show as well as casual passersby. Show star Paul Teutul Sr. made a meet-and-greet appearance on Wednesday, signing autographs and taking pictures with the bike. At one point, the line to meet Paul became so long that it had to be redirected to avoid interfering with neighboring booths.
“Our booth had a constant buzz,” said Aaron spokesperson Bob Perna. “We met with a lot of new contacts and caught up with old friends. But when Paul Sr. came to the booth, the place went absolutely crazy. The ‘Aaron Bike’ and Paul Sr. were definite ice breakers. People who might not have stopped at the booth came in, allowing us to inform them about Aaron’s capabilities. It was a tremendous opportunity.”
Paul Sr. even posted this video on Instagram.
Aaron Equipment plans to exhibit at Power Gen 2019 in New Orleans, Louisiana, in November, promising another exciting show.
